Vaccination
At Cherrish Hospital, we provide the vaccines that a female requires during her lifetime to protect her immune system from the risk of serious illness or disease. Many of these diseases can be life-threatening. Vaccines train your immune system to create antibodies, just as it does when it’s exposed to a disease. Thus, vaccination is a simple, safe, and effective way of protecting you against harmful diseases, before you come into contact with them.
Vaccinations available for females at Cherrish Hospital:
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine
The majority of cervical cancers are associated with the human papillomavirus (HPV).
Varicella
Women of childbearing age who are not pregnant, and who are not immune to varicella (chickenpox) should be vaccinated against varicella.
Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Td/Tdap)
Adults under age 65, healthcare providers, and anyone in contact with infants should receive these vaccines, with booster shots every decade.
